Dear Families of St. Anthony Parish School,

We’re conducting a survey to find out which afterschool STEM clubs would best fit you and your child’s interests.

Descriptions for each of the clubs that we’re offering at St. Anthony are listed below with important notes and recommended grade levels.

Please complete the form at the bottom to indicate your child’s interest in participating in one or more of these clubs. If you have more than one child, you will need to complete the form for each child.

Club Descriptions

VEX Robotics Club

  • Gain a strong foundation in robotics engineering as we explore design concepts to more advanced robotics systems using the VEX EDR Robotics kit.
  • Categories: Robotics, Engineering Design, Coding, Mathematics, Science
  • Notes: No coding experience required.
  • Grades: 4 – 8

Coding Club: Python

  • Explore the basic principles of computer science, while learning how to code in Python, a widely used and easy-to-learn programming language.
  • Categories: Coding, Computer Science, Logic, Mathematics
  • Notes: No coding experience is required.
  • Grades: 4 – 8

Coding Club: Scratch

  • Explore the basic principles of computer science, while learning how to code in Scratch, a very simple visual programming language developed by the MIT Media Lab.
  • Categories: Coding, Computer Science, Logic, Mathematics
  • Notes: No coding experience is required.
  • Grades: TK – 3

Game Design Club

  • Work with other students to design and create a multi-level online game using a variety of gaming platforms.
  • Categories: Game Design, Coding, Logic, Science, Mathematics, Critical Thinking, Creative Thinking
  • Notes: No coding experience is required.
  • Grades: TK – 8

LEGO Club

  • Investigate different architectural designs and experiment with simple and compound machines using a variety of LEGO kits. Emphasis will not only be on the Engineering Design Process, but on the Mathematics and Science that are observed in each project.
  • Categories: Engineering, Mathematics, Science, Critical Thinking, Creative Thinking
  • Notes: No coding experience is required.
  • Grades: TK – 8

Engineering Club

  • Design and create a variety of projects from bridges and catapults to simple machines. Work with other students to solve different engineering challenges using only the materials provided.
  • Categories: Engineering Design, Science, Mathematics, Critical Thinking, Creative Thinking
  • Notes: No coding experience is required.
  • Grades: TK – 8
